Jacob Pflum was born and raised in Palm Springs, California to musical parents with very different backgrounds, which led him to want to live in a world full of music. He developed a self-taught technique for percussion while being mentored by his older brother, Sean Pflum and traditional jazz artist, Allen Goodman. Pflum has been involved as a sound engineer with NAO, K.Flay, Dagny, Tim Easton, Gregory Alan Isakov, Jordan Lane and the Sleepers, Bouquet, The Alabama 3, !!!, Mount Kimbie,  American Parlor Songbook, Revolution Mother, and various live sound and recording work with various artists around the world. Pflum is also an active musician, playing with such groups as “Eva and the Vagabond Tales” and "Lonely Heartbeats". Pflum is a graduate of the Art Institute of California- Inland Empire with a bachelor’s degree in audio production.
